Our 'being'
What we aim to do
It all starts when you are born, what you are exposed to and what you see, what you feel and how you start to think, which is all impacted by who and what is around you. We want to be an example for our young ones to live better, more consciously, while looking great.
We provide items for childhood and parenting made from mostly natural sources and in ethical ways to ensure quality and long-lastingness.
We aim to use fabrics and resources that are good for our earth, our health and keep in mind to waste as little as possible.
We aim to support local talent and uplift and empower our communities by providing a channel to use their talent.
We aim to provide a platform to pass pieces along to those who want or need them and enable a longer life for what once came from a cute idea.
Our vision
We aspire to inspire and enable people to consume and be consciously without having to overthink it through natural sources, community, empowerment and a circular way of life.
We want to be a space that connects through uplifting and reusing, not letting talent or resources go to waste.
Learning to live with less.
Our story
Our original creator, Donne Jonker, came from a fashion retail planning career, knowing the change she wanted to make in her own and the lives of others would not have come solely from corporate, so she decided to slow down.
In her own words: “This is a very “young” idea and I hope to grow it to bring real change in people’s lives. I hope to keep my mind young, youthful, open to new experiences and fill hearts with contentment.”
A while after, her close friend with a similar mindset, Joanne Wells, joined the team. She grew up on a farm in the Eastern cape and despite also working a corporate finance job in the city, the dream has always been the slower, simpler life, while making a positive impact. Taking care of our planet & people, and ensuring young ones have good examples and resources to help them live their best lives with good values and standards for themselves has always been something driving her purpose.
“Do, rather than speak about doing, even a little bit could change a life”.
The team further expanded when another close friend, Alex Hope-Bailie joined. She is a prime example of a South African who lives and consumes consciously, if it’s not organic it is toxic ;)
We don't need a lot to live a happy life.
Coming together as a team is how we make change. We strive to uplift, be environmentally conscious and live simply and candidly.
